“ This is my go to spot whenever I am hosting friends in Dallas or showing people lower Greenville. They have an amazing selection of food highlighting several different Vietnamese cuisines from rice dishes, vermicelli bowls, to soup noodles. The vegetarian options here are also top tier!!! The tofu shaken beef option and the eggplant curry are both amazing. For cocktails, you can't go wrong with the Vietnamese coffee martini or the lychee martini. The vibe of the restaurant is casual but elevated and it's perfect for a date night or a group meal. ”
“ This was a decent Viet option located on Lower Greenville. Overall the food tasted really good. The spring rolls were fresh and filled with ingredients; I especially loved the peanut sauce that came with it. The crab fried rice was very flavorful, with a decent amount of crabmeat. Though the portion was on the smaller side. The bun cha hanoi was solid; the deconstructed concept was refreshing and the meat was flavored very well, with fair portion size. However, the overall downside was the cost; the meal was priced noticeably higher compared to other Viet restaurants. If it was priced more competitively this would've been a 5 star experience. ”
“ Update: I took my friends here the same day I wrote the review. They enjoyed the BBH and Pho very much. Mi hoanh thanh was good but lacking something. Finally a restaurant that serves authentic Hanoi foods! Bun cha here tastes 90% like home. I had bun thit nuong which tastes the same like bun cha but in different presentation. My first visit a few years ago was for the famous egg coffee, but the foods have kept me coming back again and again. The egg coffee is just okay, I appreciate the effort to bring it to Dallas. Cocktails named after Vietnamese cities/ attractions are so intentional and nicely made. The decorations are so chic and elegant. Staffs are trained well and I enjoyed the music. Congrats on Bib Gourmand award, very deserving, everything is 5/5. ”
“ Ambiance was cute casual! Service was good and the food was great! We went after they received their bib gourmand award. We ordered the two orders of the imperial rolls, the crab fried rice, and chicken curry and did family style which was plenty of food. Along with two rounds of drinks. Overall it came out to $64 per person with tip. The cocktails were great and everyone enjoyed theirs. I got the Sakura teardrop and it was fantastic. The standout in terms of food was the imperial rolls - I could've had an order just for myself! ”
“ Delicious authentic Vietnamese restaurant. We tried 2 dishes and 2 appetizers, all are delicious. Servers are nice and attentive, made good recommendations. Atmosphere and musics are cozy and make you feel like seating in Vietnam. ”
“ Great service and solid menu of Vietnamese inspired dishes. Highly recommend the gulf shrimp rolls which have a bit of a crab rangoon-style cream cheese filling. The dining room is warmly lit and there's a variety of seating options - booth, table, bar, etc. Will be back to try other items! ”
“ Have been meaning to try Ngon for ages and finally got to stop by with my husband and a group of our friends. Six of us plus one child got seated in the really long table between the front and back sections so we had a lot of room to store our coats and bags and umbrellas as it was raining pretty heavily when we arrived Saturday night. We ordered a bunch of the imperial rolls, the papaya salad, and the nuoc mam wings to share, and my husband and I split the pho hanoi with beef and the duck curry. The pho broth was the perfect balm for a cold rainy day and the meat quality in the noodle soup was excellent, super tender and flavorful. The duck curry was incredible as well; we loved how coconut forward the curry was and just wished that the dish came with more rice as the ratio seemed a bit off. The imperial rolls were succulent and tasty, but the nuoc mam wings were pretty standard. Papaya salad could've used a tad more tanginess but I actually enjoyed how different the flavor profile was compared to other papaya salads I've had in the past. Really enjoyed the beef jerky mixed into the salad as well. I also got a cocktail with my meal; the Saigon Golden Hour didn't skimp on the alcohol but was super well balanced by the sweet juices included. Loved it! All in all a great option for Vietnamese food if you're willing to pay a bit more for higher quality ingredients. Thanks to the team at Ngon for taking care of us! ”
“ I am Vietnamese and this is some of the best Vietnamese food I've had at a restaurant. They have managed to combine a great and modern atmosphere, along with amazing service, and food. This is common for a Vietnamese restaurant and I truly applaud them for creating such a great place to enjoy food. I will definitely be returning to try the other dishes. Thank you for having us! ”
